 Maurice is a Kenyan-born artist currently undertaking an MFA at City & Guilds of London Art School.

‘My work explores what it means to exist in a quickly changing world, one shaped by rapid technological advancement, systems of control, saturation of information and the quiet violence of the times.  I work in acrylic, oil, and chalk and oil pastels to create scenes that sometimes blur the familiar with the uncanny. Dark, rich colours and brooding atmospheres lend my paintings a distinctive style, where everyday moments carry slightly sinister or suggestive undertones.’
